Psalm 120:1 I call on the Lord in my distress, and He answers me.
A few years ago, a lady who was new to town began having an allergic reaction to her medication. Where should she call? Since this happened before today's "911" generation, she decided to call the local fire station. She dialed the number - busy! She checked the number and tried again - busy! Every time she got a busy signal. The receiver of the phone at the fire station had been accidentally left off the hook. Tragically, she knew of no one else to call.
God reminds us that with Him we never get a busy signal. He is ready and willing to help in any and every situation.
Does God care about the argument we had with our spouse? Of course! Is the Lord interested about our hurt and loneliness? Yes! Does it matter to God that we don't feel well and face an uncertain physical future? For sure!
We can be assured that God knows us and hears us, no matter what the challenge may be. Why? God loves us. The proof of His love is in the person of His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Since we are God's own through Christ, we can be assured that our heavenly Father knows what is best for us. he is always open to hear from us and never gives us the busy signal.
